About the event

Join Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society and Kootenay Native Plant Society to celebrate the wetlands and pollinator habitats in our region. A collection of short films will explore wetland ecology and the important role they play in supporting biodiversity, water quality, and climate resilience, all while highlighting local, community-led conservation efforts. Following the films, the Kootenay Native Plant Society will recap the past five years of the Monarch Way Station project, which was designed to create safe havens for monarch butterfly populations across the Kootenays.
