In this month’s lunchtime webinar, learn more about the West Kootenay Cycling Coalition (WKCC) and the events and projects they have planned for 2022 — including how to become a member, a bicycle share program, upcoming group ride events and plans for a protected pathway connecting Nelson to Castlegar and beyond. Meet core members laying the groundwork for lasting, positive change on the map of our region - a route for foot and bike travellers, connecting communities and recreation sites. Everyone is welcome to participate or listen, for all or part of the hour:
- See the first public plans for the Nelson–Castlegar “Dream”: infrastructure for work and play, a team from across nonprofits and government, and the push for a $50,000 federal grant for Phase 1
- Find out about multi-modal, all-access transportation for our pivot from carbon
- Help name the route!
