About the event

Joanna Rogers Macy (1929 – 2025) was an environmental activist, author, and scholar of Buddhism, general systems theory, and deep ecology. Her Work That Reconnects, a framework and collection of workshop exercises for personal and social transformation, uplifts us to face ecological and social crises with courage, compassion, and interconnectedness. Joanna’s work emphasizes the importance of honouring, feeling and sharing our pain for the world as well as the power of gratitude and joy. Hosted by the Unitarian Spiritual Centre of Nelson, who will open and close the event.
