Presentation: The future of forest management

As part of a province wide tour, West Kootenay Watershed Collaborative is bringing a presentation on the future of forest management to Nelson. Jennifer Houghton will present the New Forest Act framework - a citizen-developed proposal to replace the current forestry framework with an approach that protects watersheds, restores degraded forests, and supports long-term economic stability.

Across B.C., communities are facing wildfire risk, water concerns, and uncertainty in the forest sector. This presentation lays out a clear, practical path forward.
