About the event
The Poison Hemlock Patrol is an initiative led by the Central Kootenay Invasive Species Society (CKISS) that helps protect local ecosystems, pets and people by paying participants to help remove poison hemlock, a highly toxic and invasive plant. Using the Crowdsorsa mobile app, contributors track the plants you remove and earn cash rewards.
This session will begin indoors with a presentation, and then will move outdoors to test your skills, with a break for pizza in between. Bring sturdy shoes and a mobile device with data and CKISS will provide all other tools and protective gear.
