About the event
This free, full-day environmental monitoring workshop will provide participants with central skills in species identification, data collection and environmental monitoring. The workshop will include indoor guided instruction as well as a field session in the Harrop Wetland where participants will practise and complete their first surveys. This event is also a great pathway to join Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society’s monitoring team for the 2026 season.
