Draw the Line: Nelson

Draw the Line is a global day of climate action, with local organizing being led by Seniors for Climate teams in Nelson and Castlegar.

For the Nelson event, assemble at Noon at the corner of Baker & Kootenay Streets.  Bring your 'ugly sticks' if you have made them; our theme for the demo is that current Federal and Provincial failures to combat climate change are 'ugly' policies. Ugly policies are ones that are huge mistakes. We will be chanting slogans like "Reduce Fracking and LNG, Don't expand them' and "Cut Military Spending, Don't increase It.'  

We will march for three blocks up Baker St., the length of the market, rattling our ugly sticks and chanting. We will have the Kootenay Lakes Seniors for Climate banner and the Seniors for Climate flag at the head of our procession.
