About the event

Join architect Lukas Armstrong for a tour of The Confluence Building, Castlegar’s new Visitors Centre/Chamber of Commerce building, as part of the International Passive House Open Days. Learn how this clever design uses 85% less energy for heating and cooling than conventional buildings. This is Canada’s first fully public Passive House-certified mass timber building and is an exciting example of how we can build for the future, and it's right here in our area!

Check out Lukas’ TEDx talk from last year on Passive House, and we also featured the Confluence building in our previous webinar on innovative community buildings.
