2:30-4:30 pm Selkirk College Castlegar Campus
5:15-6:30 pm Confluence Building (Castlegar Visitors Centre)
First is a tour of Selkirk College’s Castlegar campus to learn about innovative designs for energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, and nature-based solutions.
Then make your way to the exciting Confluence Building, one of the first fully public Passive House-certified mass timber buildings in Canada! See why it’s a national model for energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, and cutting-edge design, with 80% reduced emissions. Architect Lukas Armstrong will discuss the design, systems and construction strategies used to create this unique building.
