We're excited to have Craig DeLong start our 2024 webinar series.
Craig's presentation will be focused on adaptation and mitigation strategies for smaller communities: how we can better protect our communities from the increasing threat of wildfire; suggestions for how individuals and communities can decrease greenhouse gas emissions; our way forward, through coordination, cooperation, and innovation within geographic regions like the West Kootenays.
There will be plenty of time for Q&A and dialogue.
Craig is a Senior Ecologist at Ecora Resource Group Ltd., the Lead for Rossland Refactory, and one of the Climate Hub's co-founders. He is currently working on a site level drought stress prediction model and managing a non-profit plastics recycling facility in Rossland called the Rossland Refactory. He has 40 years of research experience in ecological land classification (BEC), vegetation competition, natural disturbance-based management, mixedwood ecology, deadwood dynamics, old growth assessment, and climate change related drought stress.
