About the event
Join the Kootenay Native Plant Society (KNPS) for two hands-on stewardship days in the learning gardens!
After years of planting, observing, and learning, we’ll look at what’s thriving, what hasn’t worked quite as expected, and how these gardens can continue to evolve as healthy habitats for native plants and pollinators.
Saturday, Oct. 17th, 10am-2pm, Monarch Waystation Learning Garden, Beaver Creek Provincial Park: Come identify areas for greater diversity and ways to incorporate more elements of our region’s grassland habitats.
Saturday, Oct. 24th, 10am-2pm, Butterfly Habitat Learning Garden, Syringa Provincial Park: After five years of growth, this garden is a thriving habitat, but what about the next chapter? Together we will discuss how we steward an established native plant garden for the long term.
